Well, my little vikings. Consider the halftone experiment a success.
I added 50 percent halftone with an orange swatch to all of the skin layers in Photoshop and a sleek 25 percent blue halftone to Artie’s glasses. It was quick going with the help of this tutorial.
All in all, the full piece is coming along nicely. Little Pete is finished, but you won’t see him until the final reveal because it gives away the entire mashup I’m going with. Mark my words, though. This one will include subtle references in the background layer to Rolling Thunder, Inspector 34, and Orange Lazarus.
I’m really proud of this work so far, but I have others that I’m prepping for a June show in Scranton that I also think you’ll enjoy!
